Program Description

The Child and Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP) in Franklin/Fulton County will coordinate services for children and adolescents between child-serving systems by improving the working relationship among public and private agencies for the common goal of improved child caring services. CASSP provides a coordinated, comprehensive, child-centered system for all agencies, schools, and family members to collaborate and to develop a Service Plan to meet the needs of these hard to serve children and adolescents. The (CARE) team consists of professional representatives from the various public and private child serving agencies. The referring representatives presents the case to the team. Family involvement is very important and members present are given the opportunity to discuss their concerns, needs, and expectations. The team will discuss these areas and make recommendations for the child and family. After the development of the Service Plan, signatures are obtained from all persons involved.
