Program Description

The Juvenile Probation Department is a socio-legal agency which has specific responsibilities to the Court, the community, the victims of juvenile crime, and to the juvenile offenders and their families. Juveniles are referred to the Franklin County Juvenile Probation Department by law enforcement agencies, other Juvenile Courts, and in some instances, the victims of the crimes allegedly committed by the juvenile. The Juvenile Probation Department will accept and handle all appropriated referrals that fall within the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court and Chapter 63 of the Pennsylvania Criminal Code.
